Juliet Hidalgo, a 1993 Cal Poly Pomona graduate, serves as the Director of Communications and Marketing for the Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD). With experience spanning several years in public relations, Juliet amplifies the voice, mission and vision of the largest community college district in the nation with more than 210,000 students across nine colleges in Los Angeles.
As a CPP alumna herself and a proud parent of two CPP graduates, she firmly believes that CPP communications grads have an industry ready and waiting for them to go change the world.
Emily Velasco,

Emily Velasco embarked on a career shift from biological science to journalism, starting at UC Irvine before switching gears and graduating from Cal Poly Pomona in 2010. Initially at the San Gabriel Valley Tribune as a copy editor, she transitioned to reporting on diverse beats.
Later, she returned to Cal Poly Pomona as a communications specialist before assuming her current role as a media relations manager at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) since 2017.

Britney Hernandez, a proud SoCal native, graduated from Cal Poly Pomona in 2012. Engaging in PRSSA and Relay for Life as publicity chair, Britney interned at CPP's Office of Public Affairs before joining the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, where she excelled in media relations.
Now, as a Public Information Associate at the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors Executive Office, she continues her commitment to community service and making a positive impact.

Malak Habbak,

Malak Habbak is an Emmy Award-winning Associate Producer for CBS Network News' flagship national morning news program, "CBS Mornings." With six years of broadcast experience, Habbak has produced, written and overseen the editing of hundreds of news packages covering a wide range of diverse topics, including Hollywood’s SAG-AFTRA strike,
the deadly Lahaina wildfire and the humanitarian crisis in Yemen. Habbak's network responsibilities have also involved fact-checking scripts and translating interviews for "60 Minutes" and "CBS Evening News." Habbak remains keenly committed to providing clear and accurate information to millions of viewers nationwide.

A Cal Poly Pomona graduate in 2016, Habbak holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication, earning accolades for her scholarly work about public radio’s efforts to innovate amid a changing media landscape.
David Wilson,

David Wilson, a 2019 Cal Poly Pomona graduate in communication with a minor in political science, has been a reporter for four years. He covered local news in Northern California at the Appeal-Democrat and in Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Review-Journal, focusing on breaking news, crime, police accountability, courts, local government, and COVID-19.
During his time at CPP, Wilson served as a reporter and editor-in-chief for The Poly Post and was involved with the Society of Professional Journalists chapter.
Christian Manoukian,

Christian Manoukian is a Sports Editor on the Apple News global editorial team. In his role at Apple, Christian produces and curates sports content read by hundreds of millions of people daily across the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. Previously, Christian spent five years as a writer, producer, and executive producer at ABC7, where he produced TV coverage of five Super Bowls, four World Series, four NBA Finals, and two World Cups, among countless other major sporting events.
He also coordinated and produced national and international breaking news coverage of everything from wildfires and mass shootings to presidential elections and international conflicts.

Sean Grabin, Senior Publicist at Rosenfield Media Group, LA, represents a diverse range of entertainment clients. With a decade's experience, he excels in media relations. Previously at AXS TV for 7 years, he handled music, combat sports, and unscripted programming.
A Bay Area native, Sean graduated from Cal Poly Pomona's Communication Program in 2012.

Lauren Corona, a SoCal native, earned a BS in Communications from Cal Poly Pomona in 2016. As the Sr. Event Sales Manager at the Rose Bowl Stadium, she oversees major events like the Gold Cup soccer tournament and Taylor Swift Reputation Tour.
Passionate about crafting exceptional experiences, her expertise spans music, sports, and culinary events. Outside work, she enjoys family time, exploring eateries, cycling, and traveling.

Sean Kuroyanagi, a graduate from Cal Poly Pomona in 2020, embarked on his journey as a student assistant before ascending to roles of increasing responsibility. Notably, his tenure at Team Liquid saw him spearhead high-profile campaigns, yielding a remarkable increase in sales.
Currently serving as Approvals Coordinator under the Brand Management team at Crunchyroll, Sean continues to demonstrate his expertise in brand activation and effective communication, ensuring seamless operations and remarkable results.
